This'll peck a fight

Well, the old /. today showed me an article about how Russia is planning on doing a 500 day simulation on a manned mission to Mars. They are going to lock six men in a metal tube with a preset amount of food/oxygen/water and a doctor and let them do their thing. They will let them out if a medical or psychological emergency occurs.
I find the last line interesting:
"Polyakov told Interfax reporters that the 500 Days experiment will not include female volunteers."
Does this officially indicate that boys are cooler than girls, as all of us suspected in our "tween" years? Or is it that scientists fear that without being able to tell the men to take out the garbage or clean the garage the women will be forced to actually consider things like "who would win in a battle, spiderman or batman". (author's note : the answer is definately batman).

i think it's because russia knows that men have no self control, and they don't want to have to deal with babies being born in a metal tube...

either that, or they know that a group of women would be too valuable to waste for those 500 days....right?

oh by the way, i have to agree, batman would totally dominate spiderman....all that spiderman has is webs that shoot out of his hands.....batman has sweet toys :)

I think it's because in a metal tube, you really can't impress the chicks. I mean, there's no fancy cars, no high-class dinner establishments, and they probably wear the same ol' jumpsuit all the time. Or something like that..
