Follow up Batman post
So, the slash had a link to an article on howstuffworks.com about the new batsuit. There are random facts about the movie sprinkled about the article which I think are more interesting than the article itself. One of these snippets is a list of other potential actors that were considered for the part of the caped crusader. I'm posting the snippet verbatim but adding links to their imdb profiles so you can see their pictures. Some of them are really funny like John Cusack? I love the guy but what's he going to do, hold the bat boombox over his head and play some Peter Gabriel at Arcum Asylum until they give up? We also have Mulder, Bubble Boy, Pacey and Angel from the Buffy series. I gave the director credit, he tried to look at people from all angles but wow.......Mulder?.....anywho, here's the snippet with links.
"Batman Begins" Production Notes
Before Christian Bale was cast as Batman, many other actors were considered or read for the role. These actors include Guy Pearce, David Boreanaz, John Cusack, David Duchovny, Hugh Dancy, Joshua Jackson, Eion Bailey, Billy Crudup, Cillian Murphy, Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Next time you run into Wes Anderson
give him a high-five for me. I finally watched The Life Aquatic and it is awesome. I had high hopes going into this since I really liked Royal Tenenbaums, Bottlerocket and Rushmore and I was not disappointed. The film had great use of color and I loved a lot of the shots. I kept finding myself thinking "wow....this is a great angle" and "that's sweet use of color"...so mainly I was saying things to myself that I'd heard people that know what they're talking about say...anyways, it's good. Go see it. If nothing else you need to see the scene where Bill Murray gets into a gun fight with Phillipino's pirates whilst clad in a speedo and a robe. Easily one of the top 100 moments in cinematic history as ranked by the monkey in my head.
I also saw Batman Begins last night with brooke and Travis. I like it. I'd rank it up there with the Tim Burton Batman movies.
Sidenote, Joel Schumacher, you should be ashamed at what you did to Batman.

What are you up to....
..nothing if you're in North Dakota and it's before noon on Sunday. While brooke and I were up in Grand Forks helping her brother and sister-in-law move in we found out that even walmart is closed Sunday mornings. And you know if Walmart lets the serfs rest, it must be etched in law.
It was a lot of fun hanging out with brad and anna. We ate like kings once we found the Appleby's and it turns out its right across from a Buffalo Wild Wings, or B-dub's as the Bethel crew calls it, which they thought was hillarious. Anna's brother Isaac just graduated and when Brad and Anna offered to take him out for a congradulatory dinner they expected a sit down afair. He took them to B-dubs and they thought it was hillarious. So the site of this one threw them into some rather intense laughter.
Sidenote, Bethel alum, our dorms are much bigger than UND's but they have nicer bathrooms for the record.
I'm back to nerding it up and waiting in rapt anticipation for my sweet new couch.

Deepthroat revealed
I'm sure you've all heard but Deep throat outed himself, after only telling his family in 2003. Most people are saying he was the single most important informant, and the most guarded source, in American journalism. I think he's sweet because now the newscasters are having to explain that his name comes from "a popular pornographic film title from that time". For some reason that just makes me laugh :)
