Who wants cheap software?
Okay, I'm ordering up some copies of Norton Antivirus for my family as xmas gifts and I figured I'd open this up to you, my friends. Email me if there's any norton software package you'd like and I'll get back to you on the price. Most things, like the firewall, antivirus and ghost, are $15, but some of the cooler ones like partition magic are $25. These are NFR copies just so you know. I'd like to order all this in bulk as it saves on shipping. I'm thinking I'll send the order in on this Friday, Dec. 2nd.
If you're not familiar with the wide range of symantec consumer products just go to Best Buy or Amazon and type in "symantec" and select software and be amazed 8) I don't work on any of those though so if it burns your house down and kicks your dog, not my fault.
Oh, and apparently symantec also makes hardware but it's mainly like super-firewalls for small business and stuff. I get some pretty large % discounts on that if anyone wants one but it'd be some pretty big overkill for anyone I know.

"I stole mail"
says the shirt that a man that stole mail must wear for one day while out in public. He appealed to the supreme court, saying it was unconstitutional as anything meant to humiliate was cruel and unusual. Supreme courts smotes him without so much as a comment.
Story here ala the BBC.

funny political movie
Okay, so this link come from wes's website. Wes mainly posts polictical commentary and such, his favorite phrases are derivatives of "douche bag" so be forwarned. The video is really funny, political views aside, in it's lack of quality. It's basically saying that Bush was 100% right about Iraq, the war on terror and pretty much anything he's ever done. Check it out for yourself though, it's short and action packed.

Booo for socialized healthcare
Warren gets credit for this link. A women receiving care for diabetes in a state run hospital has her eye eaten out by ants, when she yelled for help the nurses say "infections hurt, deal" basically. Then they say it's normal for ants to attack diabetes patients. I don't think it should be "normal" for people in any hospital to get attacked by any kind of animal. Let me introduce you to my friends, floor, walls and ceilling, they have a cute cousin named door.

Top 5 covers
Okay, this whole thing is presupposing someone besides my mother reads this, thanks for reading by the way mom, but here's my first, I think, top 5 list request. I was watching yet more of the OC and heard a cover of Oasis's "Wonderwall" that turns out to have been done by Ryan Adams, captiain "I have a song named after everyone of the top 30 US cities by population". So, I decided to try and do a top 5 list of covers. Here is my list, but this is off the top of my head so I reserve the right to modify it. Here they are, in no particular order:
1) Boyz in the Hood by Dynamaite hack itunes link
2) Conan O'brian singing "Big Pimpin" ( can't find a link to this, if you happen to have one, link it up in the comments )
3) Aquaduct "damn it feels good to be a gangster" windows avi file
4) Johnny Cash "desperado" itunes link, call me a dork, chemically unstable, what have you but Cash, the epitome of gruffness singing this classic country tale, good stuff
5) Iron & Wine "such great heights" itunes link
Okay, there it is. Poke fun, mock, etc. Add your lists and show me up, then we'll all be better for it and have a few more songs for the ipod.

The "other" ikea effect
I got the link from an old buddy of mine from my apple store days. Apparently this women died after having been on a couch for 6 years. Seriously, read the article and take note of her height too, that makes this even more bizarre.
So I had the thought "man, that must have been one nice couch", even though the couch had nothing to do with it, and then I thought "I wonder if one could conceive a route by which to blame ikea for this?", hence the title. I know, I know, random, inappropriate, etc. but hey, if you read this, you should be used to stuff like this by now.

My name is JoeBuck
...and I watch the OC. I blame brooke and dave. Self-admittedly it's nice to have shallow yet whitty dialog and a rather rockin' soundtrack at my beckon call. I'm 20 minutes into the first episode and I already want to sail again and I want Adam Brody to be my buddy.
Josh turned me onto the movie shopgirl. I think I'm going to see it tonight with travis or maybe jarhead.
