Friggin' sweet

So, my sisters ibook has had a rather lengthy ordeal in our most recent attempt to get it fixed. First the guy that took the order didn't write anything down, so nothing was fixed, and then it got mis-shipped and misplaced and blahblahblah, nearly a month later we get it back, still busted. Oh, and thanks to the shipping snafu the warranty is up as of Jan. 3rd.
Well, I took it into the apple store at Rosedale, where some of my friends work, and through the sheer niceness of the assistant manager, Dan, I'm in posession of a brand new, 12" G4 ibook along with a brand new 3 year apple care warranty. That means my sister will have gotten 6 years of ibook action off of an ibook I bought at like 25% off, thanks to my employee discount at the time. That's what I call a sound investment.
Oh, and if anyone cares, her logic board had gone out, producing symptoms such as it would boot of anything( we tried the interal hard drive, an external firewire harddrive and a cd) if you were doing a reboot and on a cold boot the time was always getting reset, indicating several capacitors had blown at a minimum. This was the 2nd logic board it'd blown and it had a logic board cable go bad also. Yeah for a broad interpretation of the three strikes rule.

I've had my logic board replaced 3 times in my iBook and I didn't get a new one. I guess I should be happy they fixed it 3 times for free.
