Sweet new mouse
I just saw a link to a new mouse on /. I don't think I'd use it at my desk at home but if you were on the road this would be killer for some quick work on a plane or at a starbucks. Definite nerd appeal in my book for functionality. If it's ergonomic I'm guessing this will make a killing, especially with everyone wondering what to do with their pc slot now that ethernet and wireless is all builtin.

I've always thought that bringing along a mouse sorta defeats the purpose of the laptop, and I like the touchpad better for a lot of things anyways. With a mouse you have to find some surface to use it on. If it's a halfway decent optical you can use an armrest, but still... Do people really find touchpads and trackpoints impossible to use?

I'm fine with my trackpad, even on my 12", but given certain situations where I have some flat area, a mouse would be handy for certain activities. One that I didn't have to drag along and unwrap the cord and all that would something I'd like to personally. It's just there, hanging out in case you should need it, not getting in the way. Sounds a good thing to me, it helps when it can and stays out of the way when it's not being used. Too bad they couldn't fit a pc slot into a 12" powerbook :(
