Jackson to film "The Lovely Bones"

I was reading this article on the BBC about Peter Jackson doing the producing for a remake of a move called "The Dam Busters" which looks cool and at the very end it says that Jackson's next roll as director will be the film adaptation of The Lovely Bones, which I've heard great things about.
Just though I'd mention this as I know at least brooke will likely be excited.

i recommend that you read the book....it's excellent....on of my favorites, in fact. it is hard to read (the subject matter is tough at times), but i absolutely love the way alice sebold writes....

I was hoping he might do one of my favorite books; either "Choke", by Chuck Palahniuk or "Lamb" by Christopher Moore.

Why aren't those books movies yet?
