A video hit digg called we didn't start the viral. It's pretty funny and hits a lot of the videos I've gotten a kick out of such as technoviking, numanuma, badgers and more.

I didn't even know they were making a movie out of...
The book "The Lovely Bones" but they are and Marky Mark just replaced Ryan Gosling a day before shooting was to begin. The role Wahlberg steps into is that of the father of the 14 year old deceased protagonist.
Oh, and Peter Jackson is directing.
Also of note in the article, apparently Wahlberg will be playing along side Brad Pitt in the upcoming Darren Aronofsky film The Fighter

It is finished
I finally finished Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. It's been nearly a year and I've read it in fits and spurts but I just reached the end, page 540.
I really like it. I'm still processing the book as a whole, getting my brain around what it was saying, but I really enjoyed it. I'd say give it a go if you've ever thought about reading it.
Next up is Oryx and Crake which comes with a strong recommendation from a friend. From what I've heard about it and the dust jacket summary I'm looking forward to getting into it.

This one's for my homeies that ain't here anymore
A story came across digg that nintendo is ending support for the NES. I think it's incredible they've had it this long (the story says 22 years in the us). You've had a good run buddy and you will be missed.
Also on the nintendo front, there's a rumor of a street fighter 4. That'd be pretty sweet in my book.

Happy one month anniversery
It's been a month since brooke posted a blog entry.
Granted, this is up there with Dave and myself at time. So, in and of itself, possibly not noteworthy. But...I've been out of the office for 4 days and I've read all the internets.
Good thing I'm going back to work tomorrow or I'd start a dissertation on why Jeremy's background shouldn't be black.
On further thought, Jeremy hosts this blog for free so I should take heed of that adage about not biting the hand that feeds you.

My thoughts on life as manifseted via tv shows
So, I caught up on heroes (I love watching tv on the internets) and I really, really like this show. Good times all around.
I also caught an episode of chuck after Jeremy recommended it. I'm a fan. And it also scores bonus points for having a national song played prominently towards the end of the episode I watched. Good stuff.
So yeah, heroes and chuck. Get'em while they're hot...and free....just the way I like....my.....coffee?(I tried but it's late)

So a woman I don't know calls me today...
and offers me tickets to go see an acoustic set preformed by Wilco (iTMS link) tomorrow for free. To this I said, "yes ma'am".
It's gonna be a good time.
Also, I bought my first stars(iTMS link) cd today and I really like it. Guessing I'll pick up a few more. Thought I'd pass that on in case anyone hadn't heard of them yet(but if music is like most things in life I'm the last one to get 'hip to the tip' as the kids say).
Finally, the third, and presumably final, season of Avatar: the last airbender(iTMS link) has started. I'm going to wait until it's done and pick it up on dvd but I highly recommend this series. It's a lot of fun. It's on Friday's on Nickelodeon for those of you that record stuff. I have the first two seasons so let me know if you want to borrow those to catch up.

Mooney warned me about this
He was saying there was apparently talk of him kidnapping me during his vacation so I'd leave work.
Someday's I feel like I take the worse of both worlds, I take the extra work and push the vacation out.
