Plight of the emos

I saw a story on digg about emo kids fighting back in Mexico. Apparently there's been some emo beat down parties and now riot police have been called in to defend mascara wearing youth. Not sure if I put this in interesting, noteworthy or funny (not funny that the kids got beat up but the phrase "anti-emo riots" is pretty funny). Thought I'd share.

There's no good reason but...

this is really funny to me. Apparently one of the producers on the Nancy Grace show decided to have some fun on the air without letting Nancy know it was coming.

Two video clips to watch

The trailer for the new lost boys movie and a clip of people saying their favorite swear. Some of my favorites are Rachel Bilson, Craig Ferguson and Zach Braff.

Freaking hippies in Berkely

I'd heard about the city of Berkeley starting a ruckus in regards to the marines and I got uppity about it.
The the daily show did it up and I got a kick out of it.

unabashed posting of a link involving kittens

So, this is the old man in me but I really dig this fatboy slim video for his remix of "The Joker" as acted out by kittens.

I think my internal 70 year old man might be good friends with a crazy old cat lady. Not sure I'm excited about that.

drop off to the pub for a pint in the middle of a marathon you say?

So, this guy is 101 and is setting records for oldest man to run a variety of distances. He set the record for oldest man to do a 1/2 marathon and he did it in 5 hours. I guess he stopped off half way though for a pint and a smoke.
Well played sir, well played.

of frames and bookcases

Two things:
1) if anyone is looking for a good framer, I think I've found one by me. The lady that helped me was very nice, the prices were very reasonable and it's easy to get to (near silver lake and county rd D).
2) I'm going to be getting rid of some stuff in the near future as I'm going to be moving from a house to a smaller apartment. If anyone needs house type things drop me an email and I'll let you know what I'm getting rid of (garbage cans, a small bed, a book case, etc). There are are a few larger items I'm going to try to sell but if that doesn't pan out I'll give those away as well.
