Upcoming movies

I saw a commercial for Guy Ritchie's "RocknRolla" and I started looking at upcoming movies. I'm excited about the new Ritchie film. I loved Snatch and I dig his work. Most of it feels the same but it's a sameness I like so it's all good.

Another movie that I'm excited for is the third installment in the Underworld series. I think I'm not alone in my excitement (Pete?) but I fully admit that this whole series is for the nerds or those with nerdish interests. I'm a little disappointed that this tells a story to which we know the ultimate outcome (as with most prequels) but still, looks like it'll be fun in the same way as the same way as the first two.

New Terry Tate video

You might remember Terry Tate, the office linebacker, from some commercials he did a while back. Well, he's back and weighing in on presidential politics.

Flaming lips make a movie?

I was checking out new trailers at apple's website and saw Christmas on Mars". It looks like a goofy thing the flaming lips put together. Should be fun.

Beastie Boys rocking the midwest?

I came across an article about beastie boys doing "get out the vote" shows and thought "oh, that's nice".
Then I scrolled to the bottom and saw they're playing 3 shows with one in St. Paul and one in Milwaukee. I couldn't believe it. Then, to up the ante, both shows are with Ben Harper and Tenacious D (Milwaukee also get Crosby & Nash). I can't believe I'm not going to be in MN to see this. Get out and see this my friends, it'll be pretty epic. If you're not down with the Obama (the beastie boys are ardent Obama supporters) you still owe it to yourself to go see this show and just go to your happy place for the few minutes that they talk about their views.
Tickets go on sale next Friday at 10am CST (link)
