November update
So, it's November. I forget that sometimes as it still feels like September here (which is amazing). I went for a run today, it was in the low 60's I think? Too much fog to see the ocean from campus but I'll see it tomorrow. Those last few sentences are pretty great in my book.
I have my ticket booked to go home for xmas. I'll be in MN from the 18th to the 2nd. It's looking like I'll be in the market for a New Year's party so let me know if you've got an invite to spare to one. This is a bit of a bummer given the last two New Year's where I helped throw pretty excellent parties (if I am to congratulate myself). It'll definitely be less work and cheaper this year though, so that's something.
There are two weeks left (although this is a short week) and then finals here. That means panic is starting to set in as people take stock of what is to be done before the quarter is up. I'm not in too bad of a shape, which is nice. I'm going to chalk that up to working really hard the whole way through. When you can't get the answer, brute force it right? ;)
I went to the Cal / Stanford football game yesterday and then rolled around Berkeley with another grad student and his buddies from his UC - Santa Barbara days. That was a blast. Berkeley's a cool area, gonna have to find excuses to get up there more often.
That's about it for now. Nothing earth shattering going on, just keeping on with the grad school thing.
Oh, and I thought the new Bond was "meh" but you probably already read that on my twitter if you read this.

For a second I was like 'wait, it's still 60 in MN?', then it clicked... I look at the Sound from my office window and watch people sailing, it's great...
Are you all caught up in Pac-10 football yet? I have to know all the stats it seems, my hubby is an Oregon State Grad... but it looks like they aren't going to the Rose bowl this year which is a bummer (though the sucked in the game that was supposed to clinch it for them).

I'm hearing more about Pac-10 games since they're always on but I wouldn't say I'm getting that into the conference. I'm not watching as much Big 10 as normal, but that's okay this year as they all have been pretty rough.
I was watching parts of the Oregon/ Oregon State game, that was a rough one.
The hardest thing has been not getting to see the Vikes much, although Mooney has hooked up with a few times with his slingbox and there have been a few one though (like the one right now, go purple)
